Topflite Lucky Duck Food
Lucky Duck is New Zealand’s first duck food formulated to contain everything a healthy duck needs.
There are many reasons why you shouldn’t feed bread to ducks. Feeding bread alone causes severe malnutrition and illness in ducks, and it’s also responsible for destroying duck habitats. Say boo to the bread!
Ducks eat a specific and naturally diverse diet of plants, seeds and insect protein. But for a long time they had to make do with generic poultry pellets or, worse yet, unhealthy bread. Given the popularity of feeding wild ducks and the increasing number of New Zealanders who keep backyard ducks, we decided it was time for to create a specific feed for ducks.
Developed alongside an avian nutrition expert, Lucky Duck was made to provide a wholesome alternative to bread. This feed works best as a maintenance diet for both wild ducks and backyard ducks.
1: Contains nutritious oats and barley, kibbled maize and sorghum as well as vegetable additions for those essential vitamins
2: At 16.5% protein this feed meets the ideal level of protein for raising healthy ducks
3: Makes a fantastic eco-gift for children, the elderly, everyone who likes birds
4: Provides quacking good fun at your local park
Feeding Guide: Feed approximately 150gm per duck per day. Feed on the ground to encourage natural foraging habits. Intended as an all year maintenance feed for ducks. Breeding ducks will need an additional protein source during breeding season.
Ingredients: Oats, Barley, Sorghum, Kibbled Maize, Duck Pellets (soya bean meal, peas, broll, vegetable oil).
Nutritional analysis: Protein: 12.5%, Fat: 3.2%, Fibre: 5.1%, Calcium: 0.1%, Reactive Lys mg/100mg: 0.54%

Feed Meadow Hay to your rabbit or guinea pig alongside a good quality pellet or nugget plus the occasional chew treat.
Storage: Treat your Meadow Hay like a handsome brooding vampire from Twilight – avoid direct sunlight / keep it dry / keep it cool.
Ingredients: Pure New Zealand Meadow Hay.
Topflite Nectar Nutra Feeder COMBO (Tui Feeder)
The vibrant colour and song of tūi and bellbird can transform a garden. Encourage these beauties to visit by hanging a nectar feeder in a safe spot in the garden. Nectar feeders are now a common food source for the native New Zealand tui. Top up regularly to provide energy for their daily activities.
While many New Zealand natives feed on fruit and insects, tui and korimako (bellbird) prefer nectar. Topflite Nectar Nutra Feeders are designed specifically to attract tūi and bellbird and allow them to feed safely. A deep feeding cup and sturdy steel parts will accomodate the large, heavy tui and a strong cap prevents bees from drowning in the liquid.
The red colour of the Nectar Nutra Feeder mimics the natural shades of rata and pohutukawa, the favourite flowers of New Zealand’s native nectar feeders, and will bring them visiting regularly to your garden.
This combo includes a feeder and a 500gm bag of our honey-rich nectar.
Topflite Oyster Grit Fine 1Kg
A supplement feed for birds.
The grit sits in the bird’s crop for a sustained length of time, aiding in the digestion, as well as giving ‘slow release’ calcium thus aiding in the production of good quality shells.
Birds self-regulate their own grit intake as they require it.
Available in ‘fine’ and ‘coarse’
Topflite Oyster Shell Grit - Coarse
Made from oyster shells, grit is an essential supplement for all laying hens, particularly non-free-ranging birds. Delivering that all-important dose of calcium this grit is your secret weapon when it comes to superior eggshell quality.
Coarse grit gives chickens a slow-release form of calcium that improves the process of converting food into absorbable nutrition. Grit is held in the bird’s crop (part of the digestive system) and assists in the grinding and digestion of whole grains, seeds, and food scraps. The addition of oyster grit is an essential part of any chicken’s diet and is the best way to boost eggshell quality and muscle development.
Feeding guide: Supply grit separate to other feed. Birds will self-regulate their grit intake.

Super premium – they are the best of the best of the best!
Feeding guide:
Feed as part of a balanced diet with hay, vegies and occasionally fruit. As the bulk of an herbivore’s diet (75%) should consist of quality hay, feed a maximum of one handful of pellets a day to your growing bunny or guinea pig. Do not top the bowl up either, as they may ignore the hay over pellets (and, tasty as they are, who wouldn’t?) Always remember to keep fresh water available. If your rabbit or guinea pig has never eaten these nuggets before mix gradually with existing food, adding more each day over a ten-day period. Includes added Vitamin C to meet the dietary requirements of guinea pigs.
