Dunstan Move Free is ideal for horses with high energy demands for performance that do not tolerate high grain diets, instead benefitting from a low starch ration, due to physiological or behavioural needs.
Dunstan Move Free is a calorie-dense formulation suitable for all horses prone to tying up.
The inclusion of Super Fibres (Sugarbeet & Soya Hulls) provide calories from low starch, quality fibre sources, not only to assist in managing 'tying-ip' but also for digestive health. Steam Flaked Lupins contribute a low starch, high protein, high fat, energy-dense ingredient, ideal for the working horse.
Dunstan Move Free includes Melofeed®, a natural source of primary antioxidants. The antioxidant properties of Melofeed® benefit equine muscular health by assisting to maintain cell membrane integrity and helping to prevent muscle lesions that may occur in horses during intense training.
Elevated levels of Vitamin E and Selenium are included in this formula, with Selenium provided in the more available form of Selenium Yeast and Vitamin E as Natural Vitamin E.
Additional electrolytes as Potassium Chloride and Magnesium Oxide are included to aid muscle integrity and assist in reducing anxiety from Magnesium deficiency.
Chromium Yeast is included as an aid to overall energy utilisation and as an agent to help reduce lactic acid accumulation, a factor often associated with tying up.
Ingredience - Soya Hulls, Sugarbeet, Steam Flaked Lupins, Extruded Barley, Bran & Pollard, Fibre Pellet, Soyabean Oil, Molasses, Crushed Peas, Sunflower Seeds, Salt, Magnesium Oxide, Vitamins and Minerals, Potassium Chloride, Melofeed®, Chromium Yeast, Selenium Yeast.

Perfect Mash 20Kg
WHY BENCHMARK PERFECT MASH™?
Benchmark’s Nutrition team had a mission to create a new and innovative feed that would provide a balanced equine diet with high levels of essential nutrients but without relying on grains and grain bi-products. By utilising the benefits of super fibres from soy hulls the team were able to create a truly remarkable new feed that ticks the nutritional boxes for many of our equine friends.
Highly palatable, Benchmark Perfect Mash™ is rich in natural antioxidants, amino acids, vitamins, minerals and electrolytes – and importantly, despite being a great conditioning feed, it is genuinely non-heating, making it a logical choice for many horse owners.
SUPPORTING DIGESTIVE GOOD HEALTH
In yet another innovative move, our nutritionists took advantage of the hind gut digestibility of the super fibres in Perfect Mash to deliver serious amounts of pre and pro-biotics, supporting the gut microbiome and microbiota (gut flora) population.
In an industry first for Australia, we have added Melofeed®, a natural source of the antioxidant enzyme superoxide dismutase. (SOD) As the name suggests, Melofeed® is extracted from melon fruit pulp and juice. The benefits of SOD are well proven and are documented on our website.
WHAT’S SO GREAT ABOUT SUPER FIBRES?
Apart from water, fibre is the most important component of a horse’s natural diet. Fibre is digested by fermentation in the horse’s hind gut or caecum, unlocking energy rich short chain volatile fatty acids, the horse’s natural energy source.
The digestion of fibre sources such as pasture, hay and chaff are about 40-60% efficient, meaning that about 40- 60% of all fibre is either not digested, or only partially digested and ultimately passes as waste in the horse’s manure.
By comparison super fibres, such as the soy hulls in the Benchmark Perfect Mash™ are about 75-80% digestible, meaning that much less is passed as waste and importantly more nutritional benefit is gained from each kg of super fibres fed. Super fibres also stimulate fermentation, helping to protect the delicate microbiota (micro flora) balance in the hind gut. These are also the same microbes responsible for producing most of the horse’s B and K vitamins which are so vital for the healthy daily functioning of the horse.

CoolStance is premium quality coconut (copra) meal, made from the white part of the coconut, which is dried, baked and ground.
It is totally natural and is chemical and GMO free. It is assured quality and routinely tested for Aflatoxins.
The oil in CoolStance (coconut oil) is saturated and rich in Medium Chain Fatty Acids (MCT).
This means it is highly stable (not prone to rancidity) and can provide your horse with ready, non-glucose energy.
Most horses love the taste of CoolStance.
It is rich in quality protein, and the oil assits with coat condition.
CoolStance contains only 11% NSC (sugar and starch) and has a high content of digestible energy.
Cool Stance Copra Meal is a unique horse feed because it has low Non Structural Carbohydrate (11% NSC), and yet has a high digestible energy content.
CoolStance is packed with ‘cool’ energy from coconut oil and the fibre from coconut meal.
CoolStance copra is suitable for most horses and can be fed to maintain a natural state of gut health and insulin sensitivity, ie normal insulin metabolism.
CoolStance copra is made from the white part of the coconut, which has been dried, baked and ground. It is a totally natural product and is chemical and GMO free.

Micronizing is an infra-red cooking process used to improve the digestibility of grains for horses.
A combination of moisture, heat and physical pressure is used to change the structure of starch (in a process known as gelatinization) and protein in the grains to improve their digestion in the horse’s small intestine.
Grains digested in the horse’s small intestine provide the horse with greater nutritional value and don’t cause the diseases associated with grain overload into the hindgut.

Copra Meal is the residue after the flesh of fresh coconuts has been dried and chopped up before being pressed for coconut oil. After the coconut oil is expelled, the resulting cake is hammer-milled into meal form before going to storage.
Copra meal is very palatable which makes it highly desirable for inclusion in rations for weaners and young stock. Due to the potential for mycotoxin contamination, copra meal is only suitable for inclustion in rations for juvenile or dry stock. Copra meal must not be fed to lactating stock due to the possibility of mycotoxin contamination in milk.
Product is of plant origin from GMO Free coconuts grown around the South Pacific. The toasted coconut aroma makes the product highly palatable which aids feed intake with fussy or juvenile stock. Good levels of ruminal by-pass protein. Excellent source of energy without the risks associated with feeding high starch energy sources such as grains.
Copra Meal has a big reputation for high growth rates with young stock, and rapid improvements in BCS with underweight dry stock.
Willow powder for horses is a pure, natural herbal remedy derived from the salicin bark of the white willow tree.
It naturally supports joints, ease of movement and well-being in horses.
Willow powder for horses is a pure natural supplement that can be easily administered into feed.
The most concentrated part of the tree is the bark of the white willow.
The use of willow dates back as far as 5th Century BC where it was used to bring relief to a range of ailments!
The benefits of pure natural willow for horses:
- Horses find it highly palatable and often seek it naturally
- Supports joints and ease of movement
- May support other aches and pains and improve general well-being
- May reduce inflammation
- It’s completely natural
Why is the bark of Willow used?
The most potent part of the willow tree is the bark.
This contains the highest levels of salicin, a substance which is also found in the leaves, but the bark is the most potent source.
Salicin is what provides inflammation and pain relief.
This remarkable finding from nature was also the basis of “Aspirin” in modern day medicine.
Why willow should be a fine powder:
Willow should be ground fine and not resemble chunky or gritty pieces.
The fineness of the powder ensures the largest surface for absorption by the body.
When finely ground it should be kept fresh in an airtight pack.
Once opened it is then ready to administer into feed.
What dose of Willow should i give my horse ?
A daily suggested dose for a 500 Kg horse is 30 grams.
If the horse is experiencing some inflammatory issues a higher dose may be more effective such as 60 grams or up to 120 grams daily.
Being a natural remedy for horses the dose can be variable. Ideally start with the lower dose and increase if need.
