Our premium New Zealand-grown seed is high in energy and rich in essential nutrients, providing a boost for wild birds when food is scarce. When you want to feed your feathered friends the best in homegrown goodness serve up our premium course seed mix.

Topflite seed products are formulated to provide high quality nutrition for a wide range of local bird. This course seed goes great in one of our feeders, attracting birds to your garden for year-round enjoyable viewing.

The health benefits for the native bird population are helpful too. Current research has shown that leaving the right food out for native bird species helps give them an advantage during cold weather when food isn’t readily available. Birds that visit a feeder regularly enjoy higher breeding success than those that don’t. They lay eggs earlier, produce more eggs and their chicks weigh more

Grown in the rich soils of Coastal Otago, our Topflite seed contains more nutrients than imported seed and provides birds with the trace minerals and vitamins they need to stay healthy. This is the perfect snack food for your friends in high places.

This premium mix of top quality seeds provides essential energy to wild birds so they can thrive within your garden and throughout the wild. As imported seed is heat-treated at the border it also loses some of its nutritional benefits. Our New Zealand-grown seed doesn’t need heat-treating and so retains all of it’s natural goodness.

In a Topflite bird feeder this seed will nourish a large range of common (and sometimes uncommon) New Zealand garden birds. Winter feeding is the perfect time for ensuring your seed is out but it’s also helpful to keep your feeder topped up year round so your local high-flyers can find it when they need it.

Ingredients: Natural sugars, NZ freeze dried honey powder, pollen, vitamin and mineral supplement.

Feeding Guide: Mix one part Topflite nectar powder to four parts water. Cleanliness is important so clean and replace with a fresh nectar mix regularly. Topflite nectar can supplement the diet of nectar feeding birds throughout the year, particularly when there are no native fruits & flowers available for them to feed on.

Protect your bird buddies from anything that might pounce while they peck! Place your see cone well off the ground to keep birds safe from predators. It may take some time for the birds to recognise the new food so do not be discouraged if they do not turn up straight away. Be sure to replenish food regularly during autumn and winter also because that is when they’ll need it most.
