Replaces more of what is actually lost in sweat. 

Inadequate electrolyte replacement after sweat loss leads to dehydration, lethargy, reduced water intake and muscle weakness in performance. It is also a major cause of tying up (Equine rhabdomyolysis). 

SedaLYTE is an advanced electrolyte replacer specifically designed to help prevent such performance losses from occurring. It has been formulated after extensive research to determine the actual composition of sweat and this research has led to the higher electrolyte levels found in SedaLYTE (Potassium, Sodium, Magnesium and Chloride). This also means that SedaLYTE contains more of what is actually lost in sweat and less of other compounds not important with regards to sweat loss. 

It is because SedaLYTE's balanced formulation more closely mimics the actual composition of a horse's sweat that it is so effective at helping to prevent poor performance due to sweat loss. 

Individual horses sweat differently under differing work loads and climates. SedaLYTE's formulation and feeding directions are directly related to the amount of sweat lost, taking into account both the amount of work done and the climate. This means that you can ensure you are correctly replacing your horses sweat loss no matter what the climate. Daily dose for horses of 500 Kg bodyweight:

6-12 grams for ease of movement or for other minor inflammatory conditions
20 grams may be used for inflammation, but as a short-term measure before the dose is decreased
Daily dose for dogs of 25 Kg bodyweight:

 1 – 3 pinches mixed with food, high dose 6 pinches.
What is the MSM dose for horses with arthritis?

Clinical studies show a higher dose of up to 20 grams (per 500 Kg) administered to horses improved lameness scores and also showed no change in blood chemistry.

However, this later dose would be recommended as a short-term measure only, due to MSM being a nutrient and where no nutrient should be used excessively in the diet.

But at the recommended dose MSM can improve healthy function and support muscle and joint health by helping to also reduce inflammation.

Should I use MSM and Glucosamine together?

MSM and Glucosamine provide further benefits when combined to provide the nutritional blocks for healthy joint cartilage and synovial fluids, together having a synergistic effect for maintaining healthy function and reduce inflammation.
