Nutritech Fermaid® Ease

Fermaid® Ease is a natural feed ingredient to help maintain gastric health in intensively managed horses at risk from gastric ulcers. Fermaid® Ease 187 is the product of the fermentation of soya flour by specific lactic acid bacteria L. delbrueckii lactis Rosell-187. Fermaid® Ease is successfully used in humans that are subject to gastric ulceration.

The development of ulcers occurs when the mucosal protective mechanisms (mucous and bicarbonate secretion, increased blood flow and cell turnover), are overwhelmed by the aggressive action of gastric acid and other protein digesting enzymes.

Fermaid® Ease maintains the integrity of the digestive tract: controls gastric acid production and supports cell regeneration. It contributes to the well-being of your horse by reducing the clinical signs associated with stress. Fermaid® Ease also strengthens the health of your horse by limiting the consequences of stress.

Active Ingredients

Fermented soyabean meal (non GMO) using a specific bacteria strain. Lactobacillus delbrueckii ssp lactis Rosell 187.

Recommended Dose Rate

5g per 100kg liveweight

Horses: 25 g/horse/day (500kg horse). This can be doubled at times of high stress for a period of 30 days or in combination with veterinary anti-ulcer medication.

Foals: 12.5 g/foal/day (250kg foal) for 30 days at weaning.

Directions for Use

Top dress or mix into feed daily.

Cautions

This product is a natural preparation for animal use and if symptoms persist, veterinary advice should be sought. Do not exceed twice the recommended feeding rate without consulting your nutritional advisor or veterinarian.

Storage

Reseal packaging after use. Keep in a safe place away from foodstuffs. Store in a dry, cool place out of direct sunlight. Avoid contact with eyes, inhalation and ingestion. Wash hands thoroughly after use. Keep out of reach of children.
